Yared at SPR 2026: Exploring the Science of Interpersonal Synchrony

October, 2026 | Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Yared Getachew represented the Teaching, Learning, and Development Lab at the 66th Annual Meeting of the Society for Psychophysiological Research (SPR) in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from October 14–17, 2026.

The meeting brought together researchers to share new findings, explore methodological approaches, and discuss the relationship between physiological and psychological processes. Yared began with the pre-conference workshop on Measuring and Modeling Physiological Synchrony", followed by thought-provoking discussions on conceptualising synchrony and advancing research in the field.

Yared also presented the lab’s work at the BIG Ideas Symposium, Leveraging Interpersonal Synchrony to Understand Psychological or Group Processes, alongside Livio Provenzi, Lauren Fink, Hedwig Eisenbarth, and Chad Danyluck. Thank you to Hedwig Eisenbarth for chairing the symposium and fostering collaboration among synchrony researchers.
From engaging scientific exchanges to exploring Halifax, it was a memorable experience.
